SYMBOLIC MEANING

Cedar has been known as "the tree of life" and has been used spiritually to cleanse, heal, and create spaces for safe rituals. This is often done by combining the cedar scales and bark with sage to be burnt so that the smoke can clear negative energies. Cedar energies also cleanse auric fields, especially during rest. In nature, cedar trees reach high towards the sky and are considered so pure and innocent that they can be used to represent gods as statues and figurines. Their protective bows reach out far and therefore are also a symbol for protection.
